I notice people saying no to their sprogs quite a lot, despite the poor child not knowing what the no-ing is all about. Sprog benefits from my general inability to say no unless it’s an extreme case… ie hair pulling, specs stealing, eye poking etc. I suppose the concerns you have when they’re very tiny go away but are replaced by other different problems, like whether to bother saying no to someone who doesn’t understand that poking you repeatedly in the arm is annoying and hurty.
