Friday’s summary…
Left for Tesco at 1:30 got back at 4:40, this is what happened:
Lots of rain, walk through swamp to get to car - not a good start. First obstacle - idiot woman in huge 4x4 unable to drive through 3 inch puddle (you’re in a 4x4 for gawd-sakes!!??)
Can’t find parking space for ages. Miserable old fogeys are parked in the parent and baby spot - ponder acts of vengeance whilst waiting for them to s-l-o-w-l-y reverse their huge (hah) Toyota Yaris out of the space but can’t think of any.
Get inside Tesco’s to find Sprog has produced a giant pooey nappy - they give free nappies in baby change room (yay!) - wrong size though (doh).
Major tantrum at Tescos (from Sprog not me, although I am on the verge of tantrum at this point). Sprog is doing his infamous “I am being harrassed/incompetently parented/not been fed for 2 days/the world is horrible” cry. Worry that cleaners will break into baby change room and demand explanation.
Lots of idiots inside Tescos - I don’t know where anything is so have to walk back and forth many many times. Still unable to find cuppa-soup… or yeast…
Offered a food test tasting - I’m hungy by this point so I obligingly eat one portion nice pasta salad and one portion not so nice pasta salad. Write small essay on taste, texture, appearance etc. Am grateful for the sit down.
Takes 30 mins to get home (a 10 min journey) probably due to 4x4’s being stranded or something…
