Someone sent me an email about this story on the Beeb, saying that apparently if you have some sort of reciprocal childcare arrangement of two hours or over you may have to register as a childminder. It seems pretty stupid given how expensive and complicated it can be to arrange childcare that it’s now being made even more difficult. I’ve signed the petition on the Downing Street...

Pottering continues, punctuated a minute later by a pongy niff emanating from Sprog's posterior
Me: Errr... what's that smelly smell?
Sprog: I haven't done a poo...
J'accuse!
Driving past the pongy tip, we get a whiff that really stinky smell that only a hot day and a large decomposing pile of rubbish seems able to produce. Sprog immediately proclaims ”Cat done a poo-poo in mummies car!”. I can barely drive for laughing…
