“Boak”
– What is the protocol when you are woken by the sound of your cat vomiting in the middle of the night? I decided to leave it there, but then trod in it at 4am when Sprog woke up wailing… boak indeed.

It seems we’re not the only parents with a child who was initially terrified of the hoover, then was won over by having their own hoover and is now in love with the ‘big hoover’…

We’ve been putting Sprog to bed later in an effort to curb the waking up at 5am… it has failed miserably. All that has happened is that we have no time in the evenings, Sprog is tired, furious and fed up and still wakes up at the same time in the morning…

Is having the bubble machine covering the carpet in bubbles the same as having the carpet shampooed…?

– my main memory of seeing The Curious Case of Benjamin Button or whatever it was called. Not a bad film actually… just a bit too long…
Some advice...
If a small child is running about with a tube of Germolene and has taken the lid off, it’s not wise to try and wrestle it from their grip. It’s likely half the tube will be squeezed over both parties and neither of you will not want to let go of the tube. Germolene has quite a long lasting odour too…

– Sprog and nursery chum at said chum’s house. Usually Sprog is pretty reserved until he’s bedded in to new surroundings…. but not this time!
Dear Sprog,
Please stop waking up at four something a.m… please can you make it six something a.m instead?

PS - It would also be quite good if you could stop waking at random hours demanding warm beverages. Perhaps I should get you a thermos… or a lunchbox? I could put a couple of snacks in it… let me know in the morning…

– I was spotted by eagle eye Sprog dunking a biscwee in my coffee, decaf so don’t fret, as usual he decided to join in by dunking his own biccy in there… no beverage is sacred if there is a biscuit in the vicinity… I shall have to warn visitors I suppose…
